Update #13: Lucky #13!
OK....this Kickstarter Project is 99.99% done! Books are signed, all envelopes are stuffed and addressed. Oh what fun it has been!
To those that haven't received anything yet, your items are going to be sent out in the mail tomorrow (if the hubby can take an early lunch break). If not, they will definitely be out in the mail Monday! So you should see it in your mail sometime later next week.
A few locals (specifically BHS-er's and Barn "Wrecker's") should be getting a direct delivery to your mailbox sometime Monday afternoon.
There are still 5 or so people that still have not sent me their information. I have e-mailed or Facebook messaged you. Hoping that through this message or those, you will definitely get a message. I need your address to be able to send you your reward, so when you get a chance, please e-mail me at: contact@myhometownbooks.com

Update #12: Time to send out some books and get them on your SHELVES!
Yeah! The surprise has been ordered, completed, picked up and is now in a box at our house. We are going to begin the process of signing books and stuffing envelopes this week and hope to get things out to people by the middle of next week. This might take some time, but we're up for the challenge! Friday is our anniversary and I'm sure that the hubby just can't wait to spend a romantic evening addressing envelopes. ;-) Maybe, I'll give him a dinner break if he stays on task.
Anyhow, just wanted to keep you all in the loop....we haven't forgotten. It just takes some time for Kickstarter to send up the money, order items and then begin the mailing process.
For those people that did not fill out the survey in time. I'm not sure if they allow you to go back and do it. Therefore, please feel free to send me your contact info to:

Let me know if you would like the book autographed and to whom (for the $20 backer) and for the others if you would prefer Barnstable or Mashpee gear ($50 and up).

Update #11: Too tired for this update title to have a cheesy rhyme....
Anyhow....still waiting on 20 or so more people to get their information sent in to me to receive your reward. If you haven't responded to the e-mail or are having trouble with filling out the form, please let me know.
Artwork has been approved for our "special" gift that will be included with the $20 (or more) backer reward. Hoping to get that ordered this week...might take a couple weeks to get it in and then POOF! We'll be off to the post office like mad men.....or in my case woman!
Off to find another "great esCAPE"....this time in my dreams.....being back to work and getting all 3 kids back into the routine of school makes for one tired momma! The book DOES make for great reading material for that bedtime routine though....so I'm hoping to get it out to all of you soon!
Update #10: Back again!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU again! We have the official word that our project has been successfully funded....and that's because of all of you fabulous people.
To keep you updated....I went on an intense mission this week to find that perfect "surprise" that all you $20 supporters and above will be getting. Once we get artwork (a slight hint there) from the company and we approve it, the order will be sent in. It could take 2 weeks for that to happen....which is perfect because that's almost as long as it will take for Kickstarter to process the financial end of things anyhow. Good timing all around.
We are going to begin organizing things on our end by gathering information from you fine folks to be able to start getting packages ready. I have also conned my parents into watching my children during this time to make sure you don't receive a package with some extra goodies in it...like a lego, playdough or race car of some sort.
Be on the lookout for the survey from us and thank you again for everything!!
Update #9: And I feel fine....
Oh boy, I can actually enjoy the last 2 days of this weekend without worry! I am over the moon about reaching our goal and I just can't wait to get started with getting all your rewards out. I'm not sure exactly how Kickstarter works on this end of things, but I'm sure I will find out later on Monday afternoon when our time is officially over. I believe there is a 2 week waiting process for money to get transferred. I also will have some sort of survey to send to all of you to get information from you....ex. where to send your goodies, who would you like your book autographed too, shirt sizes, the link to your website to put on ours, etc.....depending of what level backer you are. So, I will be in touch again sometime after Monday with more info.
Until then, THANK YOU so much for being such great supporters...whether financially, giving out suggestions, helping spread the word...truly I am grateful!

Thanks Betty! This has been a second job for me for the last month and it's not over yet! Hoping to be able to balance this and go back to school this week.....I see some more late nights in my future, but it's worth it! Thanks again for your support!!
