Instrumental blues & surf rock. We break traditional blues patterns and add our own twist. Great music for BBQ's and chilling out.

About this project
I am recording my debut album. The album will consist of all original music containing blues, improvised jams, and a mix of other sounds from reggae to folk music. My compositions are innovative and have a fresh sound. The album and its songs will be recorded to inspire the listener. I am utilizing KICKSTARTER as a means to fund the album, pay studio musicians, and pay the studio we are recording at.
LISTEN TO A FEW TRACKS FROM REHEARSALS!
Keep in mind ...all tracks at rehearsal recorded on a Zoom H2. For the best listening experience, listen with headphones on. The songs are in a raw format and sound only OK out of computer speakers. Live recording in the studio for the album will take place on September 9th.
A clip from rehearsal on 8-25-12 (two partial songs [don't want to give away too much of the album]) The split point is 1:52. First song is called "Talk" and the second one we'll just call "Jam" for now ...
Here is a complete song called Tribe from our first rehearsal on 8-18-12. No Josh on keyboards on this one.
Why am I doing this project? I have been playing in blues bands for several years and I've always dreamed of what it would be like to have an album. Well that time has passed and now, more than ever am I ready to record my sounds!
I am in my mid-twenties and have been a guitar player for ten years. I have played the restaurant scene, and the bar scene and been in many different styles of bands. I am always looking for ways as a musician to push myself and take music to the next level. I am going to produce a record that is art in the sense that it will express emotion on many different levels.
Where do I see this project going? My main goal is to create a product of high quality that is critically acclaimed and will be something for other musicians to appreciate. I would like to capture a space in time that will stay will me for the rest of my life. Currently, I have no distribution plans for the album.
Also, if my album is well received, I will record a second one. : )
Why do I need $3000? I tried cutting down on the costs for the album as much as I could. One way I cut down on the cost is by recording half of the album live in the studio. This will cut down on the hours to record those songs and I will be able to capture the spontaneity, rawness, and emotion of the music. My ability to improvise is one of the talents that I want to showcase to the listeners of my album through the live recording. The $3000 will be distributed to the musicians, the recording engineer and studio, and anybody who helped me with photography, videography and web development.
I am recording the album at Zone Productions in Melbourne, Fl. They are highly reputable and I have been a freelance work colleague with their sound engineer, Mark Brasel, for quite some time. Mark knows the level of quality I expect from him, and I know what level of playing he expects, from the band and myself, to be hitting his audio console.
Why should you donate? I really want you, the contributors to be rewarded for any money you donate. I also wanted to give away as much as I could for each donation. I really want to reach my goal and I want you to want to contribute. If I fall short of the goal, I won’t receive any of the pledged money.
Everybody who contributes gets a reward; for as little as five dollars, contributors will get their name as part of the album . For each sequential donation, I will keep piling on more goodies. More importantly you are helping an individual achieve their goals and their dreams …
Note on rewards: The amount you contribute reflects all the rewards that fall under that amount. So if you donate $50 you also get the $30, $20, $10 and $5 rewards.
Have additional questions? You can ask me anything. Shoot me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
