Publish True North is a project to get the polar bear story into circulation.

• It is my calling to tell the polar bear's story from their point of view while maintaining as much "arctic integrity" as possible.  Arctic integrity refers to the research into the habitat of the polar bear and other arctic wildlife to keep the setting authentic.  Polar bears are amazing, adaptable animals- in real life, not only in this story.
• I have researched several independent publishing options, and I've gained experience with publishing Mato Finds True North.  This kickstarter initiative will provide the funding for cover design, book layout and editing through an affiliate of Amazon.  It will also fund e-book options and wider marketing and distribution. 
• With the marketing and distribution of my first publication, Mato Finds True North I have already created a following of children and young adults just waiting for the chapter book.  This is in addition to all those adults looking for a good read!

This is a timely project for the presentation of the polar bear as an animal that we can relate to.  The theme of True North- following one's heart, one's calling- is a message that all creative endeavors promote.  I believe it is best described in this verse which opens the story:

Sometimes a dead end
Is just a moment to make a choice
Survey the situation
And listen to your inner voice

When you are troubled or confused
And don’t know how to move forth
Trust in your own direction
And head for True North
