We’re Taking Gourmet Cookies to the Streets!

People love chocolate chip cookies, and eat them all the time. But how often do you get to enjoy a truly delicious, chewy, mouthwatering chocolate chip cookie … or even just a really good one?

I’m Michael Pinckney, the founder of Pinckney Cookie Café. We offer truly extraordinary chocolate chip cookies, or at least that’s what the customers keep telling us. Every week when I demo cookies, customers stop in their tracks, turn around and say “wow,” or “these are amazing,” or "ridiculously good," or "awesome," or my favorite, "this is the best cookie I've ever had in my life!".

I spent decades developing two chocolate chip cookie recipes, because I just love chocolate chip cookies. Everybody raved about them. I’d take them to my kids' school auction, and a year later someone would ask, “Hey Michael, are you bringing your cookies to the auction this year?” I knew I had something special. Eventually I started Pinckney Cookie Café.

Now it’s time to take these gourmet chocolate chip cookies to the streets! We’re going to launch a series of street vending carts, offering these wonderful cookies along with gourmet hot chocolate and coffee. And of course, milk, the cookie’s best friend. Pinckney Cookie Café = Cookie Joy

We have four distinctive cookie flavors, available online, in Seattle area Whole Foods Markets stores and some local coffee shops. And we’re working on a Gluten-free cookie based on customer requests.

I'm totally committed to providing customers with a great experience. We use only high quality, all natural ingredients, Belgian chocolate, and absolutely no preservatives, additives or things we can’t spell. We also use local ingredients whenever possible, and try to minimize our impact on the environment. Street Vending Carts are a Tremendous Opportunity for All

I’m also committed to building a company that contributes to the community. Street vending carts provide several opportunities to do this. They’re a great way to offer our gourmet cookies to a much wider audience, and grow the company in a manageable way. They help make the street more vibrant and make a fun, delicious product readily available. And they’re an opportunity for you, your student, or someone you love to quickly have their own business. Taking gourmet cookies to the streets is straight-forward, but not cheap. We need funds to:

- Build street vending carts and acquire the means to transport them - Pay for legal requirements such as permits, fees and contracts - Buy additional bakery equipment, including a bigger mixer - Hire help to staff the carts, and handle the increased bakery workload - Keep our existing business humming along as we roll out the carts

Our funding goal will enable us to roll out our first carts, but we’ll need additional funds to roll out more carts, faster. Eventually we’d like to open a “bricks and mortar” Pinckney Cookie Cafe. So please help us exceed our goal. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a taste is worth even more!
