Dear fauna family,

With autumn setting in full force and winter following close behind comes the realization that, believe it or not, audiafauna has cycled through the calendar back to its birthseason! Although the date of conception is foggy (on par with the weather perhaps), the experience feels clearer than ever. Growing from a mere two-membered living room duo into a fauna of six in less than a year has been the experience of a lifetime. Not only have we found our glorious niche here in Santa Cruz, but also a loving family that has also grown with us. Your support has truly instilled the greatest inspiration and motivation within the heart of audiafauna.

And, now that we've made it this far, we'd like to go further! After recording our first EP "The Leaflet" our sound has developed tremendously, not only in breadth but in depth as well. From playing shows on farms to bars to the Kuumbwa Jazz Center and even to venues as far north as Seattle, we now believe the time has come to capture and frame these well practiced songs onto our long awaited full length album "Roots."

Yet, this is something we cannot do alone. Just as you have helped us grow as a band, we need your help in growing our "Roots." Our goal is to raise $8000 by February 1 in order to begin our recording in the fresh new year of 2011. So, it is now that we ask for your donations. By helping us reach our monetary goal, you are also helping us reach one of our life goals of finally being recorded on a well-mastered full length album. That being said, anything helps. Whether it's $5 or more, each penny brings us closer to the birth of a CD and allows us to be able to share our sound with all of our fans - including you!

But, ultimately, what we really want to say is - thank you. Thank you for being our family, our fauna, through the past year. Whether you've made it to one of our shows, or have just been following us online, your support has been felt and appreciated on many levels. We thank you all and look foward to all the adventures to come. We couldn't do it without you.
