About this project
The Hive is a collaborative effort to restore the vitality of the arts in Boston.
The Hive emerged as a way to advocate for the health of bees, which are vital to the survival of a majority of our crops. The recent phenomenon CCD ( colony collapse disorder) continues to affect hives across the United States. As a result, bees are mysteriously disappearing from their hives. The disappearance of the bee's sometimes cause entire colonies to collapse without enough worker bees to keep the hive running. Inspired by the bee population's natural and incredible survival instinct, and teamwork, The Hive is a structure that is experiential, multi-sensory and interactive, inviting artists, sculptors, musicians, and all creative thinkers to contribute to the construction, atmosphere and culture of our communal space. The structure of The Hive serves as metaphor for fearless collaboration, community engagement and collective creativity. We hope to transform Boston into a city that embodies all of these elements through creative projects and events such as The Hive.
The Hive is constructed out of various materials such as ( but not limited to) chicken wire, fabric, paper, ply wood, and even recyclable materials, Included within will be a wall of TVs, multiple projectors, and speakers/The Hive is an evolving creation that will be changing throughout the festival and is dependent upon audience participation.
In order to make The Hive as successful as it can be we need your help. Our expenses are adding up already. Any contribution you can make towards our project will be helpful. Please help us collectively revitalize the arts in Boston and raise awareness for the survival of the honeybee's.
Thank you!!!

SWARM! is based on the collaboration of our collective energy, and organically-driven movement where assumptions are left at the door and innovation is the norm. Through the effort of artists, musicians, performers, spirited thinkers, community members - in short, people like YOU! -- our goal is aiming to highlight spontaneous art happenings, interactive installations, drama, music, and dance performances throughout greater Boston.
