The Final Countdown: We are raising money for final stages of construction for a new creative studio in Salt Lake City, called Studio Elevn, slated to open in June, 2012. Located in Downtown Salt Lake City, Studio is a collaborative production space that allows artists to create on a full or part time basis. The studio itself will focus strongly on photography and videography, but will have graphic designers, web designers, motion graphics, and even independent publishers working within the space and the community to build Salt Lake art scene. We just need your help to get some of the final build out done in time for the opening in June!

Started by film/video director, Michael Ori of Ori Media, Studio Elevn has prominent creative talent working on the project to see it come to reality, such as photographer and experiential marketer Heidi Gress with Aperture (producer of Art Meets Fashion), Cale Montrone (publisher of Revolv magazine), Jeremy Mills (JMills Ent) among dozens of independent photographers, videographers and designers. 

Why Eleven: Traditionally known as the number of good fortune and duality, the number 11 represents the balance between logic and creative and sees no limit to upward growth. In modern astrology, the 11th house is the house of ambition, freedom, optimism and confidence within a wide social circle of like-minded individuals whom share common goals, and wishes. Traditionally those who share the 11 benefit from good fortune in career and experience an ideal balance of the analytic and artistic mind.

Studio Elevn will host an opening event featuring an exhibition from 11 local photographers exploring the concept of the number 11. 

Community Outreach: In addition to being a production studio, we will hold art galleries, private parties, non-profit fundraisers, art classes, marketing classes for artists and fine art exhibitions. We are hoping this will help push the creative talent of Salt Lake to the next level to compete with larger cities like New York or Los Angeles.

This will be the first place like it in Salt Lake, so support our local talent and help us reach our final goal of seeing the space complete!
