New York grinds to a halt! Docuweek stays open despite all...

Today has been this world-wind (excuse the pun) of emotion..excitement about DOCUWEEKS and then all the hurricane stuff... first ALBA cancelled their screening event around my film for tomorrow.. Alba is the organization of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade.. then as a lot of people are leaving the city.. the cinema while full was not filled! The hype around this hurricane impossible to avoid. And now tomorrow... the transit system is  closing down at noon so people wont be able to get to the screening even if they want to.. and  seeing  a movie must be the last thing on most people's minds. Its really a pity.. so many people have done so much work to make this happen.. and of course we lost a major fundraising opportunity too.. So I am really disappointed. However, I watched the film today and the hysteria of how New York is dealing with this, then one looks at the film.. about how people suffered in Spain, the bombardment, the exile.. and we truly don't know we are born.. But the big fundraising drive has not happened!  So please help me to redouble our efforts and make this happen... tell your friends..
