Trisha--sorry about the Oscar run--but I think you nailed the prevailing attitude in your last post. The "best news" was SUPER! Kitty & I are looking forward to hearing of more successes in the international market--and to seeing how your U.S. distributor does with the film. Hope he contacts the Tallahassee Film Society. I was fortunate to see "The Mexican Suitcase" when it screened at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in July. Trisha Ziff's impressive and complex film showcases these astonishing long-lost photographs by Capa, Taro and Seymour. In addition, it examines the lives and work of the photographers while exploring the devastating legacy of the Spanish Civil War and its exiles in a very personal way. Congratulations to all the backers for supporting a truly important story that deserves our attention.
