One Week to Go
We're on the way to Tampa next week for the first of the ice melts.
You'all have been great! We have almost reached our goal, but...
But, we still need to go a little further...
This Kickstarter campaign only partially covers expenses for this project. So please tell your friends about it.
We will be unveiling the ice sculpture on Monday, August 27th at 3 PM at Lykes Gaslight Park
We'll be there early in the morning for the setup of the ice sculpture and stay there until the words disappear.
We'll be streaming video of the sculpture on a special site called http:'//meltedaway.com.
It's not exactly the SuperBowl, but it'll be close! Join us on the day of the event, we'll start streaming at 3 PM on August 27th.
We're finishing up some initial entries, adding image galleries. We've begun testing the streaming and it works. We're using a 4G mobile hotspot.
This is a screen shot of the website home page. This morning I talked with Steve Powell, who's shooting the timelapse and street interviews.
He phoned me from Tampa and was streaming the video of himself while talking with me to show me how the camera we'll be using looked.
We've sent the print files to the printer for the brochure. It will be hot off the press on Monday.
