I'm building a clockwork man that plays music. Help me finish him!
The Music Man is a kinetic sculpture I've been tooling away over for the past 5 years. It's an automaton made from various musical instrument parts. His lungs are a miniature accordion. His head is like a violin. The tendons of his arms are like violin strings.
When he is wound up, he plays himself in a macabre, woeful tune.
Supposedly, the wreckage of a ship washed up onto shore. Broken instruments were scattered about amongst the seaweed and assembled themselves into this character. He now haunts a small fishing village by the sea.
The work involves intricate wood carving, machining, puppetry and some rather involved engineering. I'm hoping the final result will be entirely clockwork, driven only by springs. I've worked quite hard in the design to achieve something that will be incredibly fluid and lifelike.

Basically, to finish him I need money for time and materials involved, as well as casting the metal and finishing of the wood. The metal is mostly brass, so the costs of finishing this thing have become way to much.
I hoping that with some help I can complete something that's been a dream of mine for close to 10 years.
