- ONE-TIME ONLY DARK HORSE PRINT EDITION of Eric Powell's FAVORITE "THE GOON" ISSUE - IS this one a printed hardcover or softcover comic or is it a PDF?

I can only second Peter's comment. Even if I had an iPad I'd still want the files in a format I can move as I see fit. That's what "receiving" means. It's pretty much guaranteed that I won't be sitting at my home computer, reading through the browser. :-(
I was not aware that Dark Horse adheres to an "industry standard" that is so arcane, because this is my first digital comic. I _am_ aware of the difference between DRM and actual receivership of files, and this does not deliver what was impressed upon me I would get.

Saying that we'll receive a digital bundle implies that we will receive digital files. Showing a picture of the comic on an iPad implies ONLY that the digital files CAN be viewed on an iPad - not that we NEED an iPad to be able to view them decently or even RECEIVE the files in the first place. Nowhere in any of the descriptions of the campaign was there mention that if I wanted to be able to receive and view the content promised by my pledge level I would need to spend over half a grand on an inferior device.

It seems "receive a digital bundle" actually means "receive access to medieval always-online digital rights managed viewer".
How I can I _actually_ receive my digital bundle, say as pdfs?
Having to be online, and use a terrible reader in my browser is not at all what I expected.

I'm sure you will, but when sending the poster can you please make sure you pack the ends well?
