Update #5: Beautiful Pictures

Posted on June 17, 2010

The amazingly talented Alyson Fox took some incredible pictures of two pairs of pasties today. I couldn't be more thrilled! The first are my wedgewood and pearls piece, the second are my oxidized leaves with sapphires.

Wow Leah, those are both amazing, I really like the leaf design, I'd like to see a close-up of the detail. Keep it going babe.

Update #4: from sketch to silver

Posted on June 8, 2010

Here is a sketch of a pasties design and then its translation in metal. This is a test piece to play with enamel and setting stones. I would like to more fully develop the effects of the blue and white enamel and next time hand paint a more detailed "wedge wood" inspired motif. But I am happy with the results and think a nice finishing touch would be to dramatically hang multiple strands of pearls between the pasties.
