@Ronald - That's how KS works, the money is taken once the project is funded. Don't expect this light for another month or 2. The money's used to finance the project, it's not just a pre-ordering system. You'll get used to it once you back a few more things on KS ;)

I don't want to sound crass but wouldn't it be better to respond to questions and keep us updated on the comments page instead? I understand you may be busy. But a photo here. A quick comment there dosent take long.... Expessially if your replying to direct comments....... I really like the idea of this product. I can't use energy saving bulbs due to their flicking and my brain seeing it an giving me headachs so I want this to succeed past kickstarter and into the commercial supermarkets. But it won't if there's no communication between backers and makers as effectively we will be the ones who buy the first commercial released batch based on the results of the kickstarter batch.

It would be nice is the makers just sent a few messages through here. Another project I'm backing is posting videos an photos of every stage of the making just to keep us in the loop and they haven't even finished the kickstarter yet.

wow, already 9 days since the end of your kickstarter-campaign and still NO update...
As much as i appreciate your product, you have to learn a lot about communicating with the backers at kickstarter.
Only 6 updates in a 2 month campaign is just too few. But the worst thing is that we didn't even get some news at the end of the campaign.
About the discussion of light-temperature ... the best thing would have been a survey, so that you have an impression what the backers are thinking. At Kickstarter there is ALL about the backers, and if you don't communicate with us, it is not very likely that your next project will be as succesfull as this one, no matter how great your product is.

another chime that while Im sure the product will be just fine, the original 400k colour was what the majority pledged for, and perhaps changing from this was an unwise choice given no push towards it from your backers,

on a more positive note, cant wait to see the product, and hopeful for some discounts on our future purchases

I am no lighting expert. I used to use the standard yellowish bulbs (low K numbers).
But once you try the more "natural light" bulbs 4000+ K you will never switch back.
The lowest bulbs I have are fluorescent 4800K bulbs.
WIth the yellowish light bulbs (low K) colors dont look right and it feels darker.

WIth the higher K numbers you get light bulbs that are equivalent to the same light you get with your windows open and the sun is shining in. Higher K bulbs are easier on the eyes as you can see more clear like in natural sunlight.

This is a bait and switch. If you shipped the 4000K lights, people would have seen the improvement over the 3000 ish K bulbs they are used to and I think you would have found people would want to replace all their lights with 4000K nano lights or they would have gone to the store to look at higher K options.
You would have introduced the color temperature as something to think about when purchasing lights to people who never thought about it before.

I just still hope you stop your bait and switch shenanigans and honor the orders of the 4000K bulbs that you sold us. Your lights are an awesome Idea and the videos of the them are awesome including the discovery channel video, but to switch at the last second does not make your company's management look good.
