Synopsis

Drawing inspiration from some of the Sci-fi greats led my emotion, intensity and atmosphere; this film will test the limits of human experience, struggle and a mysterious world where society hangs by a thread.

 Outline

In the year 2032 the world is a sinister place to live in, with the eradication of the poppy seed and the coca plant in the great drug war of 2016 the world seeks out new drugs.  Many scientists have been driven underground, and a new revolution of drug dispersion has shaped the modern world.  New drugs hit the market, often with grave consequences and the competition to create a new drug for the serious users is a deadly and precise one.

The world runs as it did before, but although the government and authorities have more power, so do the criminals often pulling the strings.

Two scientists test the limits of human experience, and set in motion events that would change the world as they know it when a new drug they create gives them access to see creatures humanity never knew existed.

Although the film revolves initially around the idea of drugs, it soon moves away into an atmospheric Sci-fi Mystery genre with a Blade Runner style feel but nearer to our time aesthetically.

Style 

The plan is to approach this in a cinematic and highly atmospheric and thought provoking direction.  Through use of smooth fluid camera works, an engaging soundtrack full of depth and layers and powerful understated acting to really draw the viewer into the film.  Imagine taking one part each of “Drive”, “Blade Runner”, “Mr Nobody” and “Moon” and throwing together into an engaging narrative with a side helping of suspense and mystery.  The viewer will be totally immersed in an audio-visual barrage of seamless cinematic shots, action and emotion tied together with an absorbing and often haunting soundtrack.

The aim of this project is to wrap you in a deep world of imagination, with stunning visuals, and bring to bear all the emotions that a good film that you see at the cinema can muster, sadness, heroism, so the viewer will walk out of the experience engaged, entertained and really thinking about life and society.

Audience

Will combine a variety of filmmaking techniques to simultaneously target an Indie and mass consumer market, depth and subtlety to engage the enquiring mind, but a general narrative easy enough for anyone to follow at face value.

Prime Demographic is likely to be 15- 40, although a secondary area of 40-60 are also likely to enjoy the film.

Exposure

Aimed for major film festivals around the world including Cannes, Sundance and BFI, with further funding Cinematic release is an option, although this is not the primary aim.

The film will be serviced to the top 200 DVD reviewer and blog sites in the world and will be advertised in major magazines around the world including Fangoria,Rue Morgue, Sci-Fi, Sci-Fi now, Videoscope, UFO and many others.

Investors and contributors taking part will get full credit in any press packs and in many cases the film credits with photographs if desired, with the name and or company of those involved. Huge exposure worldwide for company or individual, having taken part in helping a project reach its potential, something we couldn’t do without everyone’s help.

Why you are so very important to making this happen.

As a Director am used to achieving a lot on a low budget so this money will go a very long way to making something powerful that will show that Britain can still make engaging cinematic films using our own unique style and working with what makes American and World cinema so great.  No one involved in the creation of the film is doing it for money, and every penny I can I try to sink into the film anyway I can, and the crew will be working under a similar principal.

I am extremely passionate about getting this film made, so I have made the budget as low as I possibly can to achieve a full cinematic experience and take things to the next level, if we can reach the target this film will get made, and anymore after that will only improve the quality of the project exponentially so please keep funding right up to the deadline not a penny/cent will be wasted.

We have the backing and guaranteed top priority by Reality Entertainment, a dominating force for DVD, VOD, and foreign sales.  So if we can raise the funds to make the film, they can get our project out there!
