Support our Chicago Premier!

July 12 (Thurs) & 13 (Fri), 7:30pm @ Hamlin Park Fieldhouse, Chicago

This funding campaign will help support Kalpana's premier onto the Chicago dance scene. For several years now, I have been learning, researching, and presenting work as a part of collaborative concerts in the Chicago area. This concert is the culmination of the years of hard work and the studied efforts of this group of dancers.

Before confirming any other details, I first gathered funding to pay the dancers and lease the theater. By supporting this campaign, you will be contributing to the production costs of costumes and a lighting designer. Most importantly, these funds will also be used in our marketing efforts for tickets sales and concert attendance. Through exchange of this art with audience members, we can further a dialogue on hybrid identity, on traditions in a contemporary world, and on what defines culture.
