About this project
Once in a while you find something that is truly out of the ordinary. The Spoutwood Fairie Festival is not only "out of the ordinary" but many people call it magical. This festival is the largest and longest running fairy festival in the world. Imagine thousands of people wearing colorful wings and pointy ears, along with costumes of every type imaginable. Combine this with artists, authors, filmmakers, storytellers, hundreds of vendors, and four stages hosting a wide range of musical acts and you have a three day event that is the highlight of the year for many people. The festival takes place on a small farm in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania that seems to have a magical quality of its own.
Many people love fairies, fantasy, and mythology. Events are sprouting up everywhere to cater to this interest. This documentary looks at the festival, its history, and a few of the characters that are staples of this festival. The documentary also examines the purpose of fantasy, legends, and mythology in society.
I began this project in the spring of 2009. After 2000 hours of work, the film is finished and when the artwork is complete the next step will be sending the DVD out for duplication. The documentary was shot in full High Definition and has been described as "hypnotic".
For more information, the movie web site can be found at http://glenrockfae.com

The money raised through Kickstarter will fund the pressing of the first run of DVDs and submission to a number of film festivals. Helping with this final stage of the film will be your chance to get a copy of the movie at the same time as this special DVD will be available at this years Spoutwood Fairie Festival.
The cost of the delivery for your reward is included in the amount of your contribution. I will be sending the DVDs by U.S. Postal Service, anywhere in the world, at no additional cost to you.
Thank You so much for your help!
