As a weaver, my work is all about building webs, creating connections. I
use threads to create visual works that nurture, support and inspire
connections between people, animals, nature and the invisible mysteries
of this world. This is what I do best.
Today I got this photo in an email from South Africa. Here is a woman from Phaphama, an organization in Johannesburg, South Africa sharing prayer flags with a woman from Kopanang, an embroidery project run by women who are infected by HIV/AIDS.
This is peace, hope, love and community in action. This is the Woven Voices project at its best.
Your Kickstarter support will help the creation of 1000 prayer flags that will be shared to to build community, foster positive energy and build a stronger web of love for this planet for all beings.
Today, June 13 the project funding is nearly at 40%. I am so incredibly grateful to each one of you for reaching into your pockets to support this project. As you know this is an all or nothing funding. We need to reach $4000 or above in order to fund this project.
Now I am asking you to please reach out to a friend, a colleague, a family member and ask them to support "Woven Voices". Share the Kickstarter link Just like in a woven fabric, the more connections we create, the stronger the fabric, the stronger our community.
Thank you for your support, your faith and your commitment and thank you again ~ Sarah
