Inspired by an article I read a few years back about Syrian Lingerie, I set out to create an open-source Clap-Off Bra with the goal of furthering lingerie technology in the West. It took me two years of failed attempts to create the first working prototype, which miraculously came together in one evening. With this first prototype in hand, I put open-source instructions for making your own Clap-Off Bra on Instructables and a demonstration video on Vimeo. Within a month I received nearly a million views across networks.

Many of these viewers wanted their own clap-off bra, but were too intimidated by the technology to try their hand at making it. This initial slew of interest made me first consider making Clap-Off Bras for sale as one-offs. As time went on, I started receiving so many requests, I decided to manufacture them.

My Goal: Improve the sexiness and mechanics of the Clap-Off Bra and then have it professionally manufactured in volume.

This is what brings me to Kickstarter! I need money to get a kick start on professionally manufacturing the first line of Clap-Off Bras for a western audience. These funds will foremost be used to develop production-ready designs. They will also be used towards the first production run.

Anything you can contribute will bring me closer to this goal of getting Clap-Off Bras to you all.
