ALSO WE'RE DRIVING DOWN IN OUR LATEST PROJECT, 'SIP MOBILE' A VINTAGE R.V. WE'VE CONVERTED INTO AN ORGANIC KITCHEN SERVING FRESH JUICES, SMOOTHIES, SHAKES, AND MORE. This will also be a means of transporting our work!
NEW REWARD: 2 people will come out to A-Z WEST + each of you get a seat for dinner and brunch with Von Tundra, Andrea Zittel, and eight other guests.

PROJECT
We have been offered an opportunity to create an installation and a series of events around design and food at A-Z WEST IN JOSHUA TREE, as well as SPECIFIC MERCHANDISE, a storefront gallery in Los Angeles.
These events include a WATERMELON RIND PICKLING WORKSHOP WITH CHEF COLLEEN FRENCH, a casual ARTIST TALK AND PRESENTATION by VON TUNDRA followed by some before dinner beverages, mingling and desert wandering.
Dinner will be a LAMB & PEAR RAGOUT served with POTATO LATKES with COLLEEN'S SOUR CREAM & FIG PRESERVES, and BRAISED GREENS with PETITE FRENCH GREEN LENTILS. All produce, Meat, Eggs & dairy are from Local Farmers.
Brunch will be CRUMPETS SERVED WITH COLLEEN'S SMOKED HAM, and/or TOMATO, AVOCADO, POACHED EGGS and HERBED BECHAMEL, served with a ROMAINE & PICKLED WATERMELON RIND SALAD. All produce, Meat, Eggs & dairy are from Local Farmers
Both the dinner and the brunch are to be FAMILY STYLE dining experiences that will take place in a REMOTE wash adjoining the A-Z WEST property. HANDCRAFTED CHAIRS AND TABLES BY VON TUNDRA will be set with items MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER CRAFT ARTISTS represented by SPECIFIC MERCHANDISE.

10:00 (ish) - DESERT BRUNCH
THEN we dust ourselves off and head to L.A. to showcase our work and documentation of the desert experience with an open invite BBQ at SPECIFIC MERCHANDISE on Saturday the 16th.
So come by and sit at our table and chairs, eat our food, and talk (or not) with us about art, food, design, weather, or whatever..., just check it out, see what we're about.
ARTISTS
Von Tundra is a grassroots American design house and artist collective based in Portland, Oregon. [The group is comprised of Dan Anderson, Chris Held, and Brian Pietrowski]. Our mission is to create well-crafted contemporary furniture, objects, and spaces that express our dedication to longevity and simplicity.
Chef Colleen French is the creator of the Renegade Dinner Club, a social conceptual art piece using food as the medium. Renegade transforms a simple dinner into a full sensory experience that can take place anywhere—the roof of your apartment building, the grassy lot down the street, anywhere that is—except in a restaurant!
SUMMARY
The goal is pleasingly simple: to share our craft and hard work with the community by giving you real access to our quality products and fixin's. Come by the show in L.A. and get a glimpse of design and food, even the desert like you've never experienced it before. Hope to see you there.
