Any updates here? How is the layout going?
Creator Vicente Cartas on March 17
Great to hear!!!
Creator Paul Stefko on March 13
It's pretty much down to example text and plot hooks now. I hope to be able to update next week with the final draft as it moves into layout.
Creator Vicente Cartas on March 13
How are things looking for the April delivery? An update a month at least wouldn't be bad.
Creator Paul Stefko on January 3
Unfortunately not. See Update #30, and enjoy the Quickstart Adventure!
Creator w1nterkn1ght on January 3
Hi
Maybe I overlooked domething, but is there a final PDF Version out? I can't remember getting one?
It's been a while since april.
Greetings Konrad
Creator Paul Stefko on December 28
You're absolutely right. There's a new update just now. I hope it suits.
Creator Vicente Cartas on December 28
Agreed, an update into what is happening with this Kickstarter would be nice indeed.
Creator Steve Ellis on December 27
Paul- can you Send out an update on Kickstarter when we can expect our rewards and what has gone wrong in meeting the deadlines? Thx.
Creator Levi Whitney on November 28
Very cool, really looking forward to it! Thank you : )
Creator Paul Stefko on November 28
Indeed, the QuickStart is in layout now. I will send that out as soon as it is ready, and I hope you all will enjoy it. It will give you an idea of what the final book will look like, as well as a fun one-shot adventure, a few pregenerated characters, and a condensed version of the rules that will get your group playing fast.
I apologize again for the delays and thank you for your patience.
Creator KFC on November 28
Check Paul Stefko twitter @ham2anv, there's something about quickstart going to layout ;)
Creator Levi Whitney on November 24
Any further word on how things are going?
Creator KFC on October 18, 2012
http://mountzionpress.com/rollfornews/2012/10/15/episode11/ - ok, that was clearly said - "later THIS year" ;)
Creator Vicente Cartas on October 17, 2012
Thanks for the update, good to see the project continues on track :)
Creator Paul Stefko on October 16, 2012
I am working on a quickstart adventure product that will be going into layout soon. It's the demo adventure I've been running online and at conventions, good for a night's gaming. Once that's done, it will go out to all of you for free and hopefully go up for sale for a dollar or two. I will do a proper update when its ready.
Note: This is not the adventure promised in the stretch goals, but a freebie I'm throwing in because of my unfortunate delay in producing the book. Please forgive me. The book is proceeding, but not nearly as quickly as you all deserve.
Creator Vicente Cartas on October 16, 2012
Any updates on the project? :(
Creator KFC on September 24, 2012
My projections - Full Moon - Xmas 2012, addons Xmas 2013 :P
Creator robert kim on August 27, 2012
Ditto!
Creator John Scheib on August 23, 2012
Any word on the release?
Creator KFC on June 9, 2012
Probably not as it's stated: "Estimated Delivery: Aug 2012 " but Paul could post some updates more often, otherwise we'd think that he's only playtesting D&D Next (watch his twitter) ;)
Creator robert kim on June 8, 2012
What's the status on this? Is the pdf ready to be sent out?
Creator Adrian Klein on April 28, 2012
PLEASE include a packaging slip containing an invoice and label the contents as "book" on the OUTSIDE of the package for international shipping, otherwise I will have to sit for hours in the customs office... Thanks in advance!
Creator Paul Stefko on April 19, 2012
I have a good relationship with Phantom of the Attic. I would love to see Full Moon on the shelf there and in other shops. Let your FLGS know you would too!
Creator James Auwaerter on April 19, 2012
Congrats on hitting the main goal. I'm visiting up in Pittsburgh for the Spring Carnival and I stopped by Phantom of the Attic. Any plans to sell the rpg + dice there?
Creator Paul Stefko on April 19, 2012
Actually, there have been two today, and I thank them both very much. :c) But I hear you. Let the Internet know that you want blood!
Creator KFC on April 19, 2012
Backers where are you, not even one since 24h?
Can't you hear the call of the Blood Moon? ;(
Creator Jamie Lackey on April 12, 2012
Kickstarter doesn't let you edit after people have pledged at a level. So, since people had pledged before the dice were added, there's probably no fixing it.
Creator KFC on April 12, 2012
"At this and *each* higher level," - probably the former descriptions should be revised after adding new pledges ;)
Creator Paul Stefko on April 11, 2012
Although they have become more common (at least in my neck of the woods), I know for a long time Fudge dice were hard to come by. That's one big reason I want to do them.
Creator Sam Wright on April 11, 2012
That's what it looks like from the $20 pledge description, but the $15 description seems to say otherwise. I'm debating whether to go for the custom dice since I have no fudge dice.
Creator Paul Stefko on April 11, 2012
Ah, no. Just the dice and a PDF.
Creator Sam Wright on April 11, 2012
Does the $20 pledge include the physical copy of the book?
Creator Jared Trezise on March 31, 2012
Paul - Awesome! :) It's great to see that sort of flexibility is in there.
-
Jamie - Yeah I really loved the setting. You don't get many interesting Realistic-level Hard Sci-Fis set in space, most tend to fare better as Space Operas. I can picture setting up a scenarios like the one the Moon Ferry, where there's a pickpocket going round, illegal filming, and a suicide sub-plot, all whilst in zero-gravity on a commercial trip to the moon.
-
Or a setting like when they're holding the training competition to find the most elite for the first trip to Jupiter, and the various terrorist attacks against the ship capable of making that trip.
-
Vampires in space sounds absolutely awesome, and I love the sound of an out and out power-battle on the moon. I can imagine jumping around with a supernatural lack of need for air whilst there's a moon-base nearby with very normal humans that would get blown across the surface of the moon if the bad guys kicked the ceiling in half or something. Then the whole moon unfolds and turns out to be an ancient god/golem that then goes to beat up the earth, and you have to fight the moon in hand to hand combat. (Perhaps that's going a bit far... :P)
Creator Jamie Lackey on March 30, 2012
I watched Planetes a few years ago, and it's a great show. ^_^ I'd think the included setting could work pretty well for a game with the same sort of feel.
I know (since I have an inside track to such things) that Paul's hoping to create additional settings as stretch goals. One of them will have vampires, so there's definitely room for more fantasy/fantastic elements in the game.
If I could scrape together $500 for a custom setting, I would love to see one on a moon more based on something like Sailor Moon. Princesses and Princes battling cosmic evil, ON THE MOON! With magic and superpowers and possibly magical girls!
Creator Paul Stefko on March 29, 2012
Aspects are important character traits that can act as both advantages and disadvantages, depending on the situation. In the right setting, I can see "Lunarian" being a great Aspect, hampering a character at times (especially if they left the moon for any reason) and helping them in others (they have grown up in the lunar environment and can handle its hazards better).
That said, the default setting includes a limited amount of artificial gravity to keep such problems from popping up all over the place.
Creator Jared Trezise on March 29, 2012
Hey, I was just curious as to how Hard Sci-Fi this is.
The mention of mining certain elements reminded me of Planetes, a very Hard Sci-Fi anime about space debris collectors with an overarching plot of the first manned mission to Jupiter.
-
I'm just asking this because on the moon base they come across a "Lunarian," a daughter of a busy couple who was born on the Lunar Base and has never been to Earth. Because she's growing up on the Moon, the effects of the weaker gravity on her growth makes her already about 6 feet tall at age 12, and her bones are physically weaker meaning she'd crumple under Earth's extra gravity if she doesn't somehow get physical therapy. She has constant medical examinations as they use her to study the effects of low gravity on human growth.
-
Just out of curiosity, but do you have anything like that in the RPG? Or if not is it open enough to sort of just include them in your campaign without it breaking any core rules? Or is it not that kind of Hard Sci-Fi (which is cool too, I like the setting of the Moon either way!)
Creator Paul Stefko on March 24, 2012
Thanks for your support! I hope you like the finished product!
Creator Martin Ralya on March 24, 2012
This sounds fantastic, and the basic backer level is a great price. Looking forward to it!
