Update #3: Thanks!
Your contributions are going to fund some really cool equipment and hopefully will allow us to raise a lot of money for charity.
I'll post an update when we know more about opening dates. Construction is in full swing right now.
Update #2: Hurray!
Thank you to all backers! We're excited to have our core kitchen equipment accounted for. Now for the fun stuff...
Can't wait to have you in for dinner in a couple months!
Best,
Commonwealth
Update #1: Bad News and Good News
The bad news is that due to some unanticipated state SEC regulations surrounding our other investment options, this project is now our primary widespread source of public fundraising. The good news is that each contribution is now that much more meaningful.
Update: Things are all going according to planned so far, and our project will get off the ground if we can hit the baseline target of $10,000, but our actual goal is $25,000 so we can afford the kind of equipment that will make the food really shine.
Thanks to past contributors for your support and thanks in advance to prospective contributors. We are excited to see if this social movement can take hold.

Mission Chinese Food is a benevolent business run by Danny Bowien, Anthony Myint and the owners of Lung Shan Restaurant. We try to make good food and then donate a portion of the proceeds to the San Francisco Food Bank.
Is mission chinese kitchen the new restaurant?
If so, can backers get the gift certs for backing?
