The Picnic Table has been on the Playa serving people since 1993. This year during hybernation, we lost it's heart. It needs a new one.
The Picnic Table is an art car built on top of a forklift motor and base. It has a clear acrylic top with LED's built in attached to a coder. It also has a stereo.
A fine surface for fine moments, The Picnic Table is more than just an art car, it's a loyal, loving friend to us all.
Where ever the picnic table goes, it's a ride, and an instant surface for people to congregate, break bread, drink, be merry. As well, if the music is pumping, the benches work well as platforms for dancing, and the top is an epic stage for the top dancers in the scene.
This year, through some chaotic instantaneous combustion, we lost much of The Picnic Table to fire. We are asking for financial support to secure the parts only. The labor and love will come from us, and together we will make sure The Picnic Table brings the Love to the playa for Fertility 2012.
