Update #2: BlindSide released today for iPhone 4s and iPad2+!
Big news, Kickstarters! Today BlindSide for iPhone is launching on the app store for iPhone 4s and iPad 2+
We have a new control mechanic where we use the gyros in the phone so all you have to do is wear headphones, and turn to face the direction you want to go. It makes for an even more immersive gaming experience, and you’re the ones that made this possible. You can find the app here: itunes.com/apps/blindside
We will be doing the retail release of the PC/Mac version in a few weeks(ish), depending on a number of factors (approval by Steam, etc) and will be sending that along to you as a thank you for your support. For those who have commentary editions, we will be sending those to you with the PC/Mac release. We took a lot of suggestions from all of you who emailed us in response to the prerelease version, and the game is much better for it. The primary things we’ve changed are:
1) Optimized the game so it runs smoothly on lighter hardware2) Replaced Alan with the vocal talents of Paul Resnikoff
3) Improved all the environments and sounds
4) Made it easier with better instructions, better hints, and more consistent feedback
Also, blindsidegame.com is up, and has a list of all the backers who are in the credits of the game and checked “yes” on the appropriate section of the download form. If you didn’t get a chance to answer yes, or you want to be listed differently, just send us a message and we’ll add you for the next update.
Thanks again everyone, and we’ll keep you posted!
Best,
Aaron & Mike

Good job! I'll share this with a few friends of mine who are visually impaired. I'll also try it. We all use a PC, so we'll wait until that version is ready. But, congrats!
First off, awesome news! Can't wait for the PC version!
Second - any plans to develop a version for Android? I know there can be a lot of difficulties with that (thanks to the fact that there are about a bazillion Android platforms out there), but I hope that it will be possible in the (maybe even near?) future.
@Lynnea, Thank you very much! And secondly, yes, you're absolutely right. The reason we're proving out on iPhone first is because there aren't a bazillion models, and BlindSide requires a ton of processing power to run so many audio sources. Some of the Kickstarter money went to buying an Android development license for Unity though, so we hope to release on it down the road.
