I have worked with food for 15 years and my love of hearty quality products and meaty production techniques knows no bounds.  Two years ago a friend left his USB music interface and his heartless recording studio microphone at my house.  I was bored one day and began sampling kitchen sounds.  I feel that food and music have a burlesque connection that no one has really done any work to emphasize.  If you look at a recipe as a song you can see that every song has ingredients(instruments) and cooking procedures(rhythms, harmonies).  The feeling you get after listening to a complete well put together song or album I like to think of as equivalent to eating a great meal or for some, cooking a great meal over on an overheated engine block.  I started to think about ways to integrate this musical combo into a tv show.  I started writing and what I ended up with is the pilot for the first episode of THE HUSK: RIBS FOR HER PLEASURE.  The plot swirls around a normal guy who is comedicly inflicted with a disease called the HUSK.  He later finds out that the only way he can fight off his inevitable doom is to cook.  The show illustrates his cooking with the cinematography ideas I tried to illustrate when making these sample videos.  I made this video in a few short days with flip cams by myself.  I did all the editing, music, and planning work to give an example of what I would like to do.  The show also is unique because it will be the first cooking show to have a progressive plot, episode per episode.  Once I completed a few of these HUSK videos, I started a sort of meat embroidered periodical, to follow the show.  It is based on food, comedy, music, and their relationships to each other.  I guild-ed all my writings so they could not be copied or ripped off.  I also sat down with a great artist and designed the logo and some other promotional photo-shop stuff.  The main logo is a dream that I hope to one day bring to life in a line of cooking equipment that also is fun to use because of its duality as instruments.  I even went and visited a literary agent in New York that loved the idea but unfortunately never publicized it or tried to sell it due to her personal circumstance.  I would like this money to buy some new production gear, revamp the website and its content, make some tee-shirts and promotional items, and get the ball rolling on my own!  I can't wait to see if anyone is interested in helping and I would love to maybe get some new fans.  check out the page at https://www.facebook.com/Husking  I have tons more content and episodes written and I really wanna make this happen, with your help we can feast!
