      @Rick others have also asked for this kind of thing on the offical forums. I'll be looking at what information can be obtained from the accelerometer and how this can be interpreted for things such as swim strokes/laps once I get my hands on the SDK.

      Can some developer please develop a software in the watch that can track number of swim strokes per lap? The distance of the lap can be entered by the user. This info can then be sync with the phone later. With the distance, time, number of stroke, this will help swimmers improve.

      I will pay to get it install on my Pebble.

       To riff off Rick van de Laar's idea, I think that an anodised aluminium, or otherwise, chrome/metal based fascia would be classy as hell. Such as is found on traditional wristwatches. If not for this then perhaps Pebble 2!

       I must say, I have to agree with Garry Queen's comment on his colour preferences, there's nothing worse than having to keep on wiping fingerprints off of a hard shiny black surface !

       Interesting update! Thanks. Is it possible to add a few lines about the PCB telling which components are show in the 3D rendering?        Mattheus, I do think they know about a few of these already, considering that the Pebble isn't the first product or even the first smartphone-connected watch they've made. :)

       Super-excited for this thing, as it's the first time in a long time where someone has basically come out with exactly the product I have been looking for. Usually, exciting tech here is stuff I didn't know I wanted or stuff that approximates what I wish I had. Pebble was a 100% smash hit. Now, if only I can make sure the special colour turns out to be either orange or coffee-coloured. :D

       They had a prototype, but that had the pcb external to the watch (look closely in videos and you can see it). They knew what the components where and how they fitted together, but this is the final miniaturised circuit.

       That PCB looks great! I'm actually the guy who designed the optimized via hole that allows the elements on both sides of a PCB to be joined with a near-0 impedance loss while I was developing the high-gain antenna array used for mobile broadband Internet, which is what makes time travel possib... Whoops, wrong invention. The device that makes cell phone Internet possible :-) Anyway, enough bragging, you guys have taken that invention in a wonderful direction I would have never thought of when I was designing it, and it's mighty impressive. You've done me proud, boys, you've done me proud!

       Also, while the original opening was for only four colorways, with $10m I'm hoping you guys could see fit to option a couple more? That would be pretty rad. :)
