I also +1 the bt4 and I want to bring back one of the previous comments about language support!! Please give it (Asian) language support. If the higher res screen is necessary for this then +++1 that too!
Very excited for the final product!

Great, now I have to wait with my running until it gets here:) Looking forward having this great watch! Hopefully some one will come up with some kind off connection for using the Runkeeper app on IOS. Would be marvellous!

Making the watch waterproof is going to be very kool. I am tired of pulling my phone out of pocket to see what time it is. If bt-2.1 is final and used it last 7 days if bt-4 is used i would guess it should be at least double 14 days connected. I believe bt-4.0 can be used for (NFC) paying at register etc....without pulling phone out (kool)

Congrats for the team, great job on a very interesting product!

As for wishes, I really hope for an aluminum body for the Pebble and perhaps a higher resolution screen.

      Dear awesome team,
All the best on your project. Kindly make sure whatever hyper technology you guys develop with is compatible across IOS and Andriod platforms including current BT 2.1 headphones(my iPad 2 hardly recognizes any other Bluetooth device, not even my plantronics voyager) and also icecream sandwich, honeycomb ,gingerbread versions etc.

You can't offer Siri.. A, the watch is said to be iPhone AND Android. B. Apple will own your ass and eat all your profit.

Rahul and team congrats making this historical marker on crowd funding history.
I hope you will come with a stainless steel design in the near future.

With the iPhone I'm not able to receive SMS text messages but can you make WhatsApp work?
      This would be already awesome.

And can it work with google maps? So I can see give and take a 1KM radius?
With out having to hold my iPhone.

Flip through my favourites or adressbook and call while wearing a headphone with mic of course ;)

And a sensor like the iPhone that can see if its covered to dim or notice an angle it's being viewed to save battery life.

Really can't wait till the finished product.

      Good luck,

      Jordan D

I realise you can't satisfy everyone. A big thing for iPhone users (I believe) is to resolve the SMS and caller ID integration. I realise this is an issue, but at a minimum I would like to see this available on a jailbroken device. Ay chance?

+1 for inductive charging. I like this idea.

BT2.1 is fine, and the speaker/mic stuff people are talking about are is a bit pointless for this kind of output device, in all honesty. So, uh, -1 for that side of the comments, I suppose.

    17. Missing_small

Creator fmachard on April 17, 2012

Rahul, inductive charging sounds like the best way to go although that would mean developing the charger as well. Keep it simple. Concentrate on build quality. Metal frame and gorilla glass would make for a solid watch. Don't listen to too many suggestions that would complicate the device though. People should support the product because of the description you layed down for them, not what they thought it should be.

    18. Missing_small

Creator Brett Anderson on April 17, 2012

I do like the idea of BT4.0 and a higher resolution screen. Whatever you guys can do to improve the product. You do have a large pile of money to help with that, after all ;)

      double the res!!!!! 200x250!!

add a chime, make it metal, BT4 and inductive charging... maybe a mic as well... PLS

    22. Missing_small

Creator Kevin on April 17, 2012

I would love to see both of Clives suggestions in the final product! A higher screen resolution a metal frame would make the product feel a lot more polished ;)

    23. Missing_small

Creator Clive Chan on April 17, 2012

Jaime, it's on your wrist, you'll feel the vibrations. Why is sound needed?
I have a feeling you'll be able to customize the vibration to let you know what the notification is. (i.e. long steady pulses for phone call, a couple of short pulses for SMS etc.)

    24. Missing_small

Creator Clive Chan on April 17, 2012

A higher res screen would be my biggest wish for the Pebble. Nothing outrageous, but 200x250 (which is roughly double the pixel count).

Can I assume that the Pebble is almost entirely plastic? I would pay more for a metal version, but I realize some people do not like heft on a watch.

    25. Fb_profile_picture.small

Creator Jaime Gonzalez on April 17, 2012

Will the watch be backlit? I understand there's no speaker for sound but what about a chime sound or a beep for alarms?

    27. Missing_small

Creator Richard Cross on April 17, 2012

Oh Gods no! No extra jacks. The more the watch has to do, the lower the battery life. We have BT headsets for music and comms, the watch doesn't need to be involved. If someone wants to look like a dork err I mean cool and talk to their watch, they can do it while wearing a headset. :-P I do like the inductive charger option someone mentioned as opposed to USB charging though. One less hole in the watch.

      Creator Marc-Andre Archambault on April 17, 2012

One again congrats... for the people asking for a headphone jack.... the Watch is a simple " remote " for your phone. Not suppose to replace it. If you want to listen to stuff, plug in a headset in your phone or use a Bluetooth one.

I would also LOVE a way to separate the kickstarter watches from the future one sold. This watch will probably be everywhere come winter time ( think christmas gifts ). So having one of the " original" would be great.

Your product is beautiful and as an avid watch collector can't wait to receive my two! Spreading the word for you down under on my facebook and agency site - Said Creative Strategies....cheers, Dan

I'm tickled with the description of the Pebble as stated. This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting... a sort of remote display for my iPhone, primarily for caller id as the phone lives in my Scott eVest inner pocket and I have a BT headset grafted to my ear. ;-)

An ability to turn off the Bluetooth would make me feel medically comfortable.

I really do not want continuous wireless radiation next to my skin. We are not the lab rats for our grandchildren.

Low-power Bluetooth 4 is also a good thing.

Take your time to get it right -- no hurry. :-)

I'd be happy to have a microphone if it could be done easily/cheaply, but a really smooth high-res screen should be the priority.

      Rahul,
I think the warer proof idea is great. I, too, come from Canada and it gets very wet. But interfacing with Siri via voice activation would be great. I think offering different types of watch bands offering different functions would be a marketable option. Thank you the opportunity to share my thoughts.

i dont want a headphone jack... Please if possible put in a higher res screen and maybe metal bod :) and bt4 and inductive charging maybe.

    39. Missing_small

Creator Nick Dunklee on April 17, 2012

Counter to Jesse: No headphone jack, no music playback please. These waste power and compromise water seal, as well as size increase. There are already products that do this.

Creator Rafa Belinky on April 17, 2012

Joined kickstarter to help fund this. Turns out a lot of people did too.
I'm not sure how feasible this is, but is there a way to differentiate the Pebbles gotten through kickstarter backing? I've a feeling this is going to be huge, and having a "Kickstarter" in low relief somewhere would be cool as hell.

If you did the induction coil charging system, you could have the coil molded into the backplate with contacts to the main board for charging?
