Received the red Pebble that I got for my wife a week ago, and we are both very happy with it. Battery life is very reasonable. My wife has a disease that destroys sight and hearing, and having the Pebble's vibratory notifications lets her know instantly that she's gotten a message on her iPhone and she can read it with a Braille display attached to the phone. Before Pebble, she had to keep the phone and display handy and check periodically if anything came in. Now, she has set the phone and Pebble up to buzz her of just important messages.

As a developer, I'm eager to get hold of the Pebble SDK. I hope to be able to modify the notification vibration to provide her with different vibration patterns based on the content or source of the alert (email, SMS, weather, our security system, home automation, etc.).

The Pebble is already proving to be a handy device for those with vision and/or hearing issues. Now I wish I'd backed for two, because my wife may be reluctant to loan me hers to tinker with!

Hi folks, got my black pebble in the UK today. I'm very impressed with the watch and with what I've figured out it can do so far but have a concern over the feel of the middle 'select' button. Its not very sensitive (compared with the other 3) and I have to use my whole hand, thumb on LHS lower corner to squeeze the watch to get it to register a press. Not much use while cycling! Maybe it'll ease. Anyone else with this issue? Good effort though Pebble! Cheers, J

@Phillip Lamb Not sure if it is the same in France with your local carrier, but in the UK the Singpost tracking number worked fine in the Royal Mail track and trace service on their website, but only once the parcel arrived in the UK.

Update, 24 hours after my comment, I have a shipping confirmation + tracking number. Unfortunately it seems that the tracking number is useless once the package leaves Singapore as there's apparently no tracking for France or most of Europe. Seems a bit silly, and one wonders why a bigger (and presumably more reliable) delivery service like DHL/UPS/FedEx was not used... We'll see how long it takes to show up.

Got my Black Pebble just over 2-weeks ago now. Everything has been smooth on Android, but less so on iOS, unfortunately - (in terms of persistent notifications and bluetooth connection). Hopefully how Pebble functions with iOS can be fixed via an update to Pebble's firmware, or the official iOS app. If not, looks like it's the Bluetooth MAP profile in iOS 6 which might be causing some issues with currently non-supported third-party apps being able to deliver notifications to the watch, persistently. That would then be down to Apple to come up with a fix. Granted, that's the unwanted result -- as, I'm guessing, Apple probably won't want to fix the issues with Pebble and iOS if reports about the “iWatch” have any weight behind them. Other than that, I'm just waiting on the dedicated Pebble IFTTT channel to launch with a bunch of actions, and (hopefully), some triggers.

The 4200 Agent watches are just the initial December (hopefully) batch. If they sell out (which looks like when from the first 12 hours it's been available), they'll release a January batch etc.

Hopefully they've learned the lessons from Pebble that if you promise 1,000 people a watch, 81,000 you didn't expect are annoyed it's not their watch.

The AGENT looks like a nice idea for a project. However, I've been burned by too many KS projects. It's easy to make promises, but it seems like it gets harder and harder to keep them. The "savings" of getting in on a project early just doesn't make up for the times when a project ends up being 6/12/18/24+ months late and doesn't work as well as promised. So, if those 4200 AGENT watches actually get produced and become popular, I'll pay the extra for version 1.1.

Two weeks ago I got the 'please confirm' email. Confirmed my address. The same email had mentioned a two week delay. As it's been two weeks, I emailed kickstarter@pebble to ask if they had a tracking number, received an autoreponse stating "We are currently experiencing a higher-than-average amount of emails as we start shipping more pebbles to our backers."

This email seems to date to April 9 ("As of April 9, we've shipped almost all of the 55k Jet Black kickstarter pebbles. We expect red pebbles to start shipping to backers by the end of April...")

So... they set up an autoresponder and never bothered to update the text?

Hey guys, I'd really appreciate some more frequent updates on the status of the color pebbles. Specifically, I care about the white version, but I think everyone that is still waiting would agree that you should give an update and break it down by which colors you expect to ship first, in what order, and how long it will take between colors.

I think a lot of us been far more than reasonable asking only for more communication, not our money back and not even a promise that you'll hit a certain deadline. I understand you guys are a start-up, got far more orders than you could have imagined, and a lot of things are out of your control, but the one thing that is in your control is how well you communicate with your customers. Please step-up to the plate.

@Brian and everyone else. I'll repeat what Brian Said in regards to shipping Dates. I backed on 05/18/12 though. That should signal the end of Red unless the foreign shipping hasn't delivered yet. On to the next colors and hopefully some satisfied backers finally.

Literally got mine one day short of a year. Just coincidence considering Brian waited longer.

I'm trying out Pebble Glance. Like the idea, it need to be an app though with quicker response switching to different SMS response messages. I like it though for a first attempt.

Good luck to everyone with their watches. I like/love mine so far. Going on a golf outing soon and will use Freecaddie. Can't wait to see it at work. I'll check in on progress, here and there, but I think I'll finally move my attention to the Forums @ Pebbles retail site.

Backed 4/20/12, Entered "Processing Shipment" 5/7/13, "Shipped" via USPS to Michigan (via Freemont, CA) 5/15/23 (ETA 5/18/213). Received in Grand Rapids, MI 5/17/13. Powered up perfectly and paired quickly with Sprint Epic4G Touch (Samsun Galaxy SII...rooted). Very happy so far; especially RunKeeper integration used twice over the past weekend. Well worth waiting for.

So I'm still waiting on my Red Kickstarter Edition pebble to ship. So imagine my surprise when I walked in to Virgin Megastore in Dubai last night and found 10 pebbles in a mix of black and red on the shelf for sale, for AED 799, about 190 dollars. WTF? I've been waiting a year, and it turns out I would have gotten mine faster if I hadn't backed the Kickstarter. I've always been a bit of an apologist for Pebble & co, because the popularity of the device had to catch them by surprise. But this pisses me off to no end.

I believe the story they are going with is they accidentally sent out a shipment of black non-kickstarter pebbles to backers that switched to black. You can contact them about it. It doesn't seem like they'll replace it but they said they'd do something to set it right. Whatever that entails.

@marie. I purchased a Men's genuine Italian leather 22mm watch band (you can use that name in the search) at Amazon.com. I like this band because it tapers off a bit and looks more feminine. I also have a Slickwraps.com brushed copper wrap which I absolutely love. Intestingly enough a pebble watch kickstarter campaign ended yesterday which was for a plastic pebble watch covers in a variety of colors.

One month ago I got an email that my red pebble would be shipping soon and I should receive the tracking information within two weeks. One month on and my status is still stuck at "shipment processing" and I've not heard anything from Pebble. According to their updates all red pebbles have shipped. Where's mine? I reckon they'll release version 5 before I get a hold on version 1. Very disappointed with this kickstarter.
