"Why Did I Go to College?" is a documentary about society's expectations of a higher education.
How many of you are buried in student loans, earned a diploma and work a low-paying job, struggle with balancing work/school schedules, or simply attend college because you feel you must?
David Stickney and Sydney Fleming are creating a documentary about the modern convention of college in the United States. This will include interviewing students and instructors, in depth research about the history of college, analyzation of loans/grants/scholarships, and finding the overall value of a college degree.
There was a time when students attended college to be scholars, and now students attend college to compete in a failing job market. This documentary, "Why Did I Go to College?" is intended to educate viewers about the morphing college convention and not to serve as mere method of complaint. Both successes and failures will be documented.
