Theatre Exile is at it again, taking you back into the twisted mind of Martin McDonagh. Last year’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore was such a huge hit, we knew we had to serve up a second helping from this astounding award-winning playwright. We are so excited to bring you the Philadelphia Premiere of A Behanding in Spokane, the show that took Broadway by storm with its fearless comedy and dark commentary on modern American life.  It’s a story that blends horror and humor in a rollercoaster ride of macabre thrills and chills. A twisted tale of a man obsessed with vengence, and the hapless degenerates who blunder ignorantly into his path. But we can’t carve this narrative unless you lend us a hand.

At Exile we want to take you so close to the action that you feel like you’re a part of the show. We want to bring you into the downtrodden hotel room McDonagh describes, introduce you to these wild and wonderful characters, and leave you panting to return for another peek into this world. That’s why we are so happy to unite this amazing cast of actors, including Pearce Bunting, Amanda Schoonover, Matt Pfeiffer and Reuben Mitchell, under the keen direction of Joe Canuso, in a story unlike any other.

But while we have most of the funding needed to craft this experience for you in our upcoming production, as it currently stands we are 1000 dollars short of what we need to bring you all our thrilling special effects, and we need your help to bridge the gap.

Our amazing design and creative team are already busy imagining this Heartbreak Hotel and it’s hilarious and horrible occupants. And you can help them, and help Exile by kickstarting us today. Your money goes towards paint, supplies, and the extremely hardworking bunch we have toiling away for us. But mostly, it goes towards a special surprise that will leave your mouth agape, and towards giving you, our beloved audience, some of the best theater you will see all year.
