Back in Black!
I'm Pleased to Announce -
Based on your requests, I will be adding BLACK to the color lineup. It will be available to both new and existing backers as a color choice when I collect your order information at the end of the campaign.
Here it is:

Above is a picture of the swatch, compared to my current grey and other samples 1 & 2 which are both black apparel I own. You will see the new color is more of a dark grey. In fact, I may choose to call it Dark Dark Grey.
Here's a note from my weaver:
"If you want to have Jet Black (Darkest Black), the thick & thin effect will be disappear, and the hand feel will be stiffer due to the dye staff."
What he means is:
- The grain that achieves a fine appearance will be lost in the darkest black.
- The fabric will be stiffer to the touch. How much stiffer I don't know.
This is the nature of apparel, and an example of the type of challenges that pop-up all the time.
I have asked the weaver to prepare a sample of the jet black that I will review. But if it impacts the appearance or the feel, I'll go with the dark dark grey (which I happen to think looks great).
FYI, It's possible we may not know the final color before the kickstarter campaign closes. Send me a note if you are concerned about which one I choose.
** There is an additional reward level for ordering 4 pairs. And, Kevin Del Castillo gets his 4th pair free for the idea!

In the meantime, I'd be grateful for any way you'd spread the word about Bluff Works!

I shouldn't say anything rude about my beloved NYC, but there are some who believe that's all we have here! Thanks for your comments.

I agree with Derek. Black is only for waiters and corpses. The dark dark grey looks great, and it's awesome seeing you hard at work with 2 weeks left in funding. Good luck!

awesome cargo bike, building one myself soon.
Creator Stefan Loble on June 12, 2012
Nice! Thanks, Derek.
Creator Derek on June 12, 2012
I would take the dark grey over jet black. In my experience is almost impossible to match blacks and I end up looking like a waiter anyway!
Creator Stefan Loble on June 11, 2012
Michael - thanks for telling me. Can you see the cargo bike now? And, thanks for the bump!
Creator Ezra Casteel on June 11, 2012
