About this project

Eat Your Serial is a brand new website that will connect writers and readers through serialized stories. New chapters are posted weekly, with multiple stories running every week.

One of the most frustrating lines we hear today is that "people don't read anymore". I know for a fact that's just not true. People love to read, they always have. It's just the what and how that's changed. People read more now online than they ever have. It's just not always traditional books anymore. (Although we sure do love books!) Blogs, your favorite websites, Facebook - these are what people are spending their time reading. We at Eat Your Serial believe that there is already a built in audience for manageable, easily digested serials of new and well written stories, and we want to build the platform for it.

Serials have a long and proud tradition in entertainment from Dickens to LOST. People love ongoing narratives with clever twists and jaw-dropping cliffhangers that compel you to come back next week for the next installment.

And the best thing about it, is that the stories will be available for FREE for your enjoyment on the web! We are also working on creating a robust mobile experience including paid serial subscriptions and other top secret and cool features.

We're looking to promote new writers from all genres, and get them out to the widest audience possible. There's strength in numbers, and all writers retain the rights to their work after they're done working with us.

The money we're trying to raise is to ensure that we build the best possible web and mobile platforms for our readers and writers. We're also investing in a strong behind the scenes infrastructure filled with the right software, and the right people. We currently have over twenty volunteers who are offering their time and skills in a variety of capacities. From editors, to marketers, to lawyers and more! But we've reached a point where our time and money is no longer enough to realize the product we want to create. So we're asking for your help!!

Take a look at some of the fun and funky rewards we're offering up. Please note that rewards such as the mobile subscriptions and printed books, may not be available for some time. Creating a strong mobile experience is one of the key reasons for this Kickstarter campaign. And books won't be available until the whole serial is run online.
