Update #8: Mailing Addresses Needed
Update #7: We Did It!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for helping us succeed in the Kickstarter project for Harold Feinstein.
FUNDED!!!!!
On behalf of Team Feinstein, we'd like to thank Harold's fans, friends, family and students for without you this would not be possible. We had 399 backers of this project donate a total of $40,450.00!!!!! This includes 365 books pre-sold!!!! AMAZING!
It was Harold's passion for photography and teaching that really motivated a team of art patrons including myself to step up and reintroduce this work to the masses and make sure a book was made.
Stay tuned for updates on the production of the book. We are hoping to have this book done and available for the public in June of 2012 and will coincide with a large exhibition at Panopticon Gallery.
cheers!

We are soooo close to getting this Kickstarter project funded for the Harold Feinstein retrospective. Backers of this project have generously donated over $28,800 and we have pre-sold 25% of the books we plan to print!!!!
Harold has been delighted to see all of the support and press. In the past two weeks he has:
-received the Living Legend Award from the Griffin Museum of Photography
-been written about on the NY Times Lens blog
-been written about on the NPR Picture Show
-been written about on The Online Photographer blog
It is so amazing, yet we still have a goal to reach. Please forward a link to the Kickstarter project to anyone you think might enjoy it and support it.

Update #5: 58% and over $20,000 dollars raised!!!!
58% and over $20,000 dollars raised!!!!
The other night when Harold received the Living Legend Award at the Griffin Museum of Photography's 6th Annual FOCUS Awards, he mentioned to me how excited he is getting about this retrospective project.
Harold's enthusiasm pushes us even harder to get this done! Team Feinstein has been meeting with individuals and corporations, trying to entice a large sponsorship for this project. We have only 17 days left to meet and exceed our goal. Feel free to spread the word to anyone you feel may be interested in the project.
Check out the feature Harold had on NPR this week.
And a small shout out in the Boston Globe.
Thank you again for your support!
Update #4: 40% is close to 50%
40% is close to 50% which means we're almost 1/2 way there. Let's keep this rolling!
p.s.....Harold is receiving the Living Legend Award this weekend at the 6th Annual Griffin Museum of Photography FOCUS Awards.

Keep promoting! My experience with Kickstarter is that people who are supporting it don't mind being part of a more general promotion, as long as they are not deluged with emails.

Harold Feinstein changed my life. He taught me by virtue of his example that you can actually live life on your own terms in an often hostile world. Not a day goes by that I don't feel grateful for the good fortune to have crossed his path at a very formative time in my own development. Harold not only taught me about the importance of f/stops and development time; he taught me that talent alone is not really enough. You also need commitment and, yes, courage.
I'm proud to have contributed to this project and look forward to receiving the book, but the truth is I could never begin to repay the debt I owe to him.
Seriously, congratulations. I have been pulling for this project and I am absolutely delighted that it succeeded. I can't wait to see the finished project and learn more from Harold's work.
Excellent news. Congratulations!
