About this project
Hey Kickstarter,
Thanks for helping me reach my financial goal! I'd still love to reach 1000 members one day... For now, i'm setting a fresh goal of reaching 150 members by January 17th. Also, I decided to share with you the first video i made for Kickstarter... it's not as silly but i still like it... i'm using a loop pedal to make the song up as i go... it was shot by Maria Sykes at Epicenter in Green River... enjoy!
I'd like to make my musical career more sustainable and I'm borrowing the model of the CSA to do it. In a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) you buy into a farm for the year and each month you receive a box of whatever produce is in season that month. My CSM (Community Supported Music) is just like that except that i farm songs... which are like food for your spirit... so really, a CSM is just a CSA for your spirit!
I actually tried the CSM model out during the past year and it's been well received in its small circle. But expanding the membership is crucial for this to become a sustainable model.
In addition to providing more time to devote to my songwriting, the funds from this project will allow me to invest in better equipment so i can provide higher quality recordings for the CSM and future albums.
In the long term, i'd love to see about a thousand members in the CSM but for now i'd be content to reach 100 in hopes that it will grow from there. Please help spread the word by sharing this video as much as you're willing and able.

No, she is my friend and recently adopted grandma... i really did meet her while traveling in the past couple of years. She is one of many reasons i've found to respect and value my elders and the wisdom they may have to offer me.
