Get Gone is a rock band. We have recorded our debut album and are now going to release it on vinyl.
Get Gone are a 4 piece rock band from Minneapolis, MN. They were officially born on a hazy day at a random time in the early summer months of 2011. A group that had formed a couple years earlier to back singer-songwriter John Swardson on the record Silver Dust, Get Gone gradually become a collaborative rock band and it was time to move in that direction.
Get Gone are: Chris Coyne-bass guitar, Lane Soderberg-lead guitar, backing vocals, Ryan Wheeler-drums, and John Swardson-Lead vocals and guitar.
The band went into the studio in late June 2011 to record 10 tracks for their debut record 'Dogs In The Woods' with Jeff Halland. The recording was mixed, mastered and ready to crank by the end of the year. The single 'Metal Pig' was then leaked as a free download on Jan 23rd, Rutger Hauer's birthday, and will spearhead the march to the planned release date of the record this summer.
The band has paid for the recording sessions but are not on a label and need a little help from their friends/fans to get it pressed on to vinyl. The album will come with a download card and the download will be available 2 weeks before the vinyl hits the street for everyone who pledges here. (The band has lost interest in the CD format as many music fans have). If you don't have a record player we promise to make the album look pretty sweet so you can display it with pride...
