About this project

Nov. 7th. UPDATE: We've reached our Kickstarter goal and we are now able to make this film into a reality. So exciting! But we aren't done yet... 

Our Kickstarter goal reflects the minimum amount of funds that we need in order to make this movie. But at this budget, we still need major favors, a few minor miracles, and we still must make creative compromises.

LOG LINE: 

An ambitious production assistant pulls off a daring heist on a Hollywood film set in a scheme right out of the movies, all to impress the industry’s biggest producer while (of course) pitching his screenplay.

FROM THE FILMMAKERS:

This is a movie about the magic of cinema. As filmmakers, we’ve worked on all kinds of movie sets – from student films all the way up to summer blockbusters – and we know what goes into what you see on screen. Unfortunately, a large part of what makes movies magical is the budget! This project is very ambitious and in order to pull it off successfully, we need to raise at least $10,000. Please support our passion and commitment to careers as filmmakers with any donation you can afford.

We hope that this film, in both its irreverence and obvious love for the world of the cinematic, will strike a chord with moviegoers everywhere. This is our homage to our own pasts and what we hope is a signpost to our own movie-making futures. Thank you so much for your support.

THE TEAM 

Kirk Sullivan (Writer/Director/Producer) grew up in Upstate New York. The son of an independent filmmaker, he moved west to chase a career in movies by attending the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Following graduation, he directed various music videos before working on numerous independent features and studio films such as SHRINK, THE LOSERS and SHERLOCK HOLMES 2.  He is currently working for producer Joel Silver on the Warner Bros. lot while continuing to develop his own feature projects.

Christopher Boyd (Writer/Producer) is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he studied screenwriting at the School of Cinematic Arts. Originally from San Diego, he has worked on all kinds of productions, as a producer, camera operator, sound mixer – and, of course, as a PA. His current projects include producing and directing a feature documentary now in post-production and writing a new feature screenplay.

Alyson Bruno (Producer) is a graduate of the University of Miami. She has built a background in film and television production on various pictures, including Showtime's BROTHERHOOD, HBO's TRUE BLOOD, and Paramount Pictures' MORNING GLORY. Her specialty in creative and viral marketing is rooted in her recent work with JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, and she has since moved on to work as assistant, writer and copy editor for “48hrs.” director, Walter Hill.

Shelley Patel is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, where she co-founded the school’s undergraduate producing program. She has worked under producers like Irwin Winkler, Shaun Redick, and JJ Abrams. Shelley works as a freelance producer and has produced a number of shorts, features, and music videos that have been screened at a wide variety of domestic and international film festivals. 

Joshua Reis (Cinematographer) has a unique blend of youthful and potent visual style.  After graduating from USC, he leapfrogged through an array of opportunities in the industry.  Joshua has worked on music videos with artists including: Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Seal, Will.I.Am, Ke$ha, Rick Ross, John Legend and Lindsay Lohan, among others. Adam Keller (Music Supervisor/Composer) is a graduate of USC's Thornton School of Music.  He has recently opened a recording studio in his native Oklahoma City and is working on projects as a composer, producer, sound editor, mixer, sound designer, music supervisor, engineer, and songwriter with clients from London to San Francisco.  He is passionate about nurturing the arts and young up and coming talent in the Oklahoma area.
