About this project
This fall, Graham and his band, The Go Rounds, set out to record a two song single to be released on a variety of mediums including 7 inch vinyl. Along with the full band single, he will also record his second full-length solo album.
In order to fulfill this new musical vision Graham will be pulling together his favorite musicians and producers from all over Michigan.
This campaign was created to help make these projects a possibility, and to make them the best they can be. Recording music is an incredibly complex endeavor that requires a variety of resources. So many factors come into play including: studio time, gear acquisition (mics, cables, instruments, etc.), contentment of production team and musicians (food and hospitality, fair wages). The list goes on and on...
Post production costs are another beast entirely that includes: mixing, mastering, duplication, graphic design, web presence and promotion and distribution.
Past releases include:
Squeaky Clean Cretins - "of flesh, of marrow" 2007
Squeaky Clean Cretins - self-titled 2008
Graham A. Parsons - "farmhand" 2010
The Go Rounds - "Live EP" 2010
The Go Rounds - "Studio LP" 2011
Throughout history artists and musicians have been able to exist and thrive only through the support of their patrons. The here and now is no different. This method is modern, but the idea is tried and true, and with the economy in its dilapidated state, the first things on the chopping block are education and the arts.
All of our lives are filled with music every single day. This is a great opportunity to personally be a part of its positive perpetuity, and have your generosity rewarded in immediate tangible ways. By contributing to this campaign, not only are you helping someone live their dream, but you are participating in keeping independent music alive and well.
Band and Recording Team Members Include:
Andy Catlin - Founder/producer Double Phelix Records -keyboards
Keith Kinnear - Producer/engineer at Backseat Studios in Ann Arbor
Ben Lau - Founder Big China Productions, drums
Gitis Baggs - Guitar
Tod Kloosterman - bass
Steven Michael Holmes - Videographer/Founder- MostlyMidwest.com
and many more world-class musicians
Thank you so much for your time. Every contribution helps.

Growing up on a farm in a tiny town in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, I always had dreams of traveling the world and sharing my talents. I started writing music and singing at age 14, and am now a full-time independent touring musician/recording artist with no plans to slow down. The last two years have sent me around the country multiple times with hundreds of shows played. Nothing makes me happier than writing and performing music. I can't imagine a more exciting and fulfilling path.
