Hi Donald, I'm not sure what happened but am checking now with wire and twine (http://www.wireandtwine.com/) who have printed and fulfilled the orders (and been paid already by us).
take care,
zach
I never received my shirt either. Please don't refund my payment. I think you guys have done a great thing. It's just too bad that the company you picked to fulfill the orders dropped the ball on what looks to be more than just me. There are undoubtedly others who haven't spoken up.
andrew, I'm sorry -- I have no idea why you haven't gotten a shirt, but wire and twine have printed and sent them out already a long time ago now. I'll check with them. . I've just refunded your 35$ via amazon payments. take care, zach
Still no T-Shirt. Still no response to my inquiries. Over 9 months since Zach received my pledge $$. This is absurdly ridiculous. I emailed the kickstarted folks today, since Zach is MIA. It is unfortunate that such a cool project turns out to be my first kickstarted bummer.
I got my poster yesterday and posted a pic on twitter. You've all done an amazing job! Best regards.
Thanks for the shirt preview in your email - looks amazing! Looking forward to wearing it...
Great project!
@donald -- the t-shirts on the presses now. If you'd like a reimbursement, I'm happy to send you the money back. I sent an update about shipping a few weeks back. very sorry for the delay, but we are working with partners who are doing this basically for free (to help get TEMPT paid) so we have to work with their schedules.
I NEVER GOT THE SHIRT BUT THEY GOT MY $$$$$ MONTHS & MONTHS AGO........
me too. when do the goods ship?
Update please! Am anxious to get my gear! Hope our master writer is doing well.
Just wondering if we might be able to get an update on when the shirts will be sent out? Hope y'all are doing well!
Thank Zach for all this job :)
I loved watching the little pupils writing with their little pupils and seeing the orange bot, too!
Awesome to be able to support such a great project. It's pretty much the one digital media type project that everyone I've spoken to feels is worthwhile and like oF in general has a proper communal and open vibe to the whole thing which is to be much admired. I'm sure I'm not the only person to wonder but will some of the prints/shirts etc be available outside the scope of the kickstarter drive? I ask in terms of continuing funds for the project in the longer timescale but also due to changing financial circumstances for people who want to support the project - for example I went for the typeface $10 pledge as that's what I could afford at the time but with some work on the horizon other things become affordable.
very nice art
I am really happy to see that this project has been funded fully. I hope when my project video is posted peopel react with the same love. Much Love TEMP1. I am a graffiti artist and just an artist in general I know that you being able to create again must be an incredible feeling. The people around you who started this project and supported you are truly good people and I hope they all fully understand what you must feel to be able to Create again...something I'm sure you had made terms with never being able to do again. Miricle.
I'm going to mention the project and your successful funding in my panel at web 2.0 on why hacking matters. Congrats team!
Congratulations! Things have been so tight that I could not contribute $$ but I tweeted the project a couple of times. This is just such an awesome idea!
congratulations!
This project makes me super happy. Thank you for creating it and doing what you do. Incredibly inspired by you and it. Love Katie.
Congrats on the goal being reached, i pushed this out on krs ones myspace page to help you out. I am the moderator for his online promotions. I was wondering if i pledged $35 if i get all mentioned rewards under 35? like 5 or more? 10 or more? ect, since im paying 35, will i get the previous rewards under it?
Wow, this project is amazing....Its just so good to see people use the technology thats out there to actually help other people.
Have you ever considered a frame you could put up against a wall, that could actually paint this stuff? I would be willing to help with the robotics/ tech side of it if you wanted to try....
I posted on my Facebook page, I didnt get a chance to get on kickstarter for my hahwear parody tshirt line but it doesnt stop me helping you from becoming mutlitmillionaires off of a handicapped persons talents and help with his medical expenses.
I love what you are doing! Posted on FB, hope to help get other investors from my friends. An amazing project.
This is an amazing project you have going here and the potential of the eye writer as a technology that would allow people who can no longer use their limbs to carry out actions on a computer is astounding. I really hope you reach your target and take this technology further.
I'm really excited about this project, and give Tempt1, Zach and the rest of the crew much respect. Projects like this remind me why I'm passionate about doing this type of work myself and show how unbelievably powerful a few smart hackers can be. I just posted this to my facebook page. Definitely let us know where the gallery opening will be, I'll try to make it out for sure. Big ups to Tempt1!!
Love and respect from the west coast!
Zach,
I think this is great! Do you know if there is anything online regarding the tech side of the Eyewriter project? I looked over at the Parson's site and couldn't find anything. I'm really interested in what's being done there and the progress and challenges that the team has had. - Kyle
(sorry, meant to say "working together as a team of individuals to build solutions to problems that governments and companies are not going to solve.")
@Buzz, fine. thanks for your comments, and while obviously we disagree with you, I would just counter that this project is about way more then graffiti. It's about loosing the ability to do make art, loosing the ability to do the things that you love in your life, and working together as a team of individuals to build solutions that governments and companies are not going to solve. There is nothing in this project or in this kickstarter that's about defacing property, it's about helping someone who has an artistic voice use it again, and celebrating that.
Although I think this like of research is fantastic, I find it hard to support anything that has to do with the graffiti artists that have defaced some much of the world and reduced the standard of living for everyone. You destroy other peoples property and are no better thatn your average petty thief.
Ok sounds good, what about the rewards under 35? are those included with the shirt if i donate 35? just curious.
greetings,
after we know a bit more about how many shirts are pre-ordered, we can give a better answer to that question. I would guess there would be two designs we print at the end.
At the moment, we can't show the shirts or posters, because tempt is making brand new drawings, but we'll invite backers to vote for the designs they'd like to see and I would guess new drawings would be up in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can see the drawings that tony's been making on the project home page, and at eyewriter.org and you see chris glasses printing work, here: http://wireandtwine.com/
I hope that helps!
take care,
zach
For the shirts, is there a choice of what shirt? or is it only one design? where can we see the shirt? and does that include all precious rewards under it as well?
