Beginnings

Phantom began as a two line poem based on a true story, shared and elaborated in the confidence of friends.  Phantom, however, soon took on a life of its own.  A supporting character of sorts, we are swept away by Poo's ability to elicit feelings from our young protagonist.

The Next Step

In sharing the poem with others, I realized there was something to this.  If we enjoyed the story unfolding, then others, too may appreciate the prodigy of our collective brain child.  It was time to find an artist: someone to bring the story to life for the illiterate among us as a well as the lazy and those who just like pictures.

Where We Are Now

We have preliminary drawings from the artist and have gotten quotes from several printers.  So here's where you come in: we will need some cash to get it printed, some to pay the artist, 8-10% for Kickstarter/ Amazon fees, and of course a portion to send you your goodies! Please support our little project and then pass it along to people you know who might think it's fun.

And Finally...

With the funding, we will do some fancy foot work to get it distributed.  We'll visit local book stores and mail out copies to distributors.  The evidence of your interest should be very helpful during this step, so please pass along our link to your friends and family who might like, share, tweet, or monetarily Kickstart our effort!

Thank You so much for your interest in our labor of love!

FAQ

  • Phantom was written for wordsmiths who can snicker at bodily function humor. Kids will love it, too, because the writing style sounds like Dr. Seuss and it's just fun.

The video is aimed towards parents because it makes poo a fun topic instead of something scary, uncomfortable, or embarrassing. Kids are a little afraid to "let go" when they are being potty trained and reading poo stories on the potty can help make the experience more fun for everyone. Plus most parents have a pretty good sense of humor, especially about poo.
