Enter a world of excitement and danger: Jane Austen's Britain. A tabletop role-playing game set in the world of drawing rooms and garden walks.
Wit and Willfulness is a tabletop role-playing game which takes the character focus and collaborative storytelling of games like Dungeons and Dragons to a new place, the Napoleonic-Era society of Jane Austen's novels. Your weapons are your quickness of speech and knack for subtlety -- do you have what it takes to survive the Wellingsley Ball?
Who would you be? The Accomplished Governess? The Dear Friend from London? The Captain's Silly Daughter? Do you seek social standing? A man with his own barouche? To develop your own skill? The increase of your family's estate? Sentimentality? Ally with friends against your rivals to secure your desires, all in time for cucumber sandwiches.
The goal of the project is to develop a complete sourcebook for the game with rules, character guidelines, and a full sample "season" of game sessions. This piece will be fully illustrated by Jessica Gadra (jessicagadra.com).
The funding will go towards production, design costs, distribution, and marketing. Every shilling helps!
