Emacsy Demo 2: Extensible Events and Temporal Macros
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to provide another short demo of the Emacsy prototype. In this demo, I show file loading and watching with a barebones text editor. I show Emacsy consuming Open Sound Control (OSC) events with my robot simulator; you can extend Emacsy to consume whatever events you like. Finally, I show two different ways to execute macros. The convention macro replays a set of recorded events in quick succession, which doesn't help me control my robot. However, I can replay the same macro back that preserves the time between events. And this doesn't arrest my command loop—I don't have to wait for it to finish. I can continue entering commands while the macro plays. It's a lot of fun to work with.
With respect to the kickstarter progress, we are over the hump in terms of the funding time period. Unfortunately, we're not quite over the hump with respect to funding the project. So please link, tweet, and facebook the project that way we can make Emacsy a reality!
