Kickstarter

Hey Everybody,

Good news--I just placed the order for the books!  Woohoo! Do a little dance! Make a little love! Get down tonight!

I decided to up the ante at the last minute and order 250 books, at a total of $1,402 (instead of 150 for $1,180. Makes sense, right?)  Kickstarter and Amazon took a combined $100 cut from the fundage, so I basically just used all the money up in one fell swoop.That doesn't even include shipping yet, or all the extra costs associated with getting the rewards out to y'all, but this way I'll have a bunch more copies on hand that I can distribute, and maybe I'll end up selling a few of those extra 100 to make back the shipping costs I'm going to incur. I was a little worried about having enough books after all the reward copies go out, and I want to keep a few myself for the future. So. Good. I'm happy.

The printing process will involve the company sending me a hard proof copy to review, and after I give the OK on that, it will be another 2 weeks of turn-around time for them to print all the real copies, and then a week to ship them. Hopefully they'll be on my doorstep before Halloween, and I'll mail them out to you guys as soon as I can after that.

Just wanted to let you know it's finally moving along. I will contact all of you in the next few weeks to get your addresses and any other preferences, like, for anyone whose getting a sweet poster, you'll be able to choose the front cover, the back, or the whole thing wrapped together landscape-style. Again, that will be in a few more weeks. I need a little break from thinking about this book for a while.

In the meantime, here's what the final cover layout ended up looking like. There are some big changes and some small since the last time I posted it.
