Children's educational music. The Gery Girls music has a mix of rock, pop, dance, and a little country. It is upbeat and fun. The way children's music should be. What makes this project special and set apart from other children's music is that it is sung by my daughters. In my opinion, this brings it to a level kid's can understand and appreciate more so than music sung by 40 something year olds acting like kids. This has all the makings of the Wiggles or the fantastic Laurie Berkner band, but with cute, energetic girls as the stars. Musically, I believe this will be attractive for the parents as well. Because the music offers the feel of what we parents used to listen to growing up. Not cheesy keyboard ditties. No Barney here. This music rocks! I have 4 cd's that are only a month away from completion. I do not need investors for the recording part. That is paid for. We need investors to help pay for the videos we want to make for several of the songs. Ultimately, to complete a 45 minute dvd which would include song videos and playful "antics" featuring the Gery Girls educating and promoting health and good eating topics. Today, childhood obesity is at an all time high. Healthy eating and exercise for children and adults is a hot topic. 1st cd is entitled "Rockin' the Garden". 2nd is "Rockin' the Orchard". 3rd is "Rockin' the Playground" and 4th is a Gery Girls Christmas cd. So, what will we do with these cd's and dvd? We will sell what we can of the product via children stages (doing shows), our www.gerygirls.com website, and thru various online sources- cdbaby, itunes, amazon etc. However, the big goal is to have this already completed product to pitch to children's record labels, distributors and to television networks. I want to see the Gery Girls become as big as the Wiggles or Veggie Tales. The concept is there, the talent is there, the songs are written, the desire is there, many industry contacts are interested, the wheels are churning. What's missing is some help with funding.
