Kickstarter

Almost a full year ago, all of you supporters of the Warp and Weft Kickstarter made this film a possibility, and I am happy to say that today it is finally a reality. The journey was not always easy as there were a few setbacks, but I have to say the end result is not only one that we are extremely proud of, but one that we didn't even see coming. This film had many different incarnations in its existence and concept, but we knew at the root we wanted to create a film that felt as if the viewer was "in" on a conversation with denim-heads from all over the US (and some from overseas!). The final product has more of a story than we originally anticipated, and truly has a lot to offer to both newcommers and veterans of the raw and selvage enthusiast spectrum.

As you read this, your DVD's and Blu Ray's are being pressed and sealed, and will be shipped to you all in the next week or so. As a special thank you to all of you that have been here since the beginning, we invite you to stream the film in its entirety (in standard def format) for a full week before anyone else gets to see it! Check your emails for a second, "backer-specific" email that will include the link and passwords.

Again, we can't thank you all enough for making this film a possibility, we hope our passion for the subject translates into an fun and informative film, and most of all that you enjoy watching it!

We know it's been a while since our last update, but we wanted you all to know we haven't forgotten about Kickstarter! A lot of the week-to-week updates have been posted on the main funnels to our Kickstarter, namely Superfuture and various denim blogs as well as Facebook, but we wanted to share with you all some ungraded and "raw" footage from the filming so far. Please note that the images and sound are straight off the camera, and do not reflect the quality and style of the final feature.

There is a special video for Kickstarter backers called "Our morning with Roy", which is a very raw, 5 minutes of the 4 hours of footage we have of Roy Slaper. In the video he shares some neat insights as a one-man denim brand, as well as shoes us some of his sewing technique. The video will be in a special post only Kickstarter people can view.

Thank you everyone, we have gotten so much love and support from the denim and film community, and feel we have something truly unique to share with you all, as well as some beautiful footage!
