Update #3: Patient 13 Going Strong!
Hi Everyone!
First, thank you for your generous contributions that have already raised close to $20,000! With 14 days to go, our $30,000 goal is definitely within reach!
We're very excited to announce that we have received a significant contribution from Dex 4, the company behind fast-acting glucose tablets. Robert Oringer, Board Member and investor in CanAm Care that owns Dex 4, has two children with Type 1 diabetes. He's intimately familiar with what it's like to care for this disease. His passion to improve the lives of his kids, and others with diabetes, has made him the pioneer of private label diabetes products in the US. Thank you, Dex 4!

Update #2: 42% With 21 Days to Go!
Thanks so much to all of our donors who have helped us get to $12,705 of our 30K goal. Your support is much appreciated! With 21 days left to go, we still need to raise $17, 295. That’s just over $800 a day!
Last Sunday, Guy and Lisa joined thousands of people who trudged through the rain to support JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes. $800,000 was raised in one day! We're inspired and with your help we'll reach our goal, too.
One of the most important ways you can continue to support Patient 13 is to help spread the word. Please post this link to your Facebook page, email it, tweet it or anything else that helps get the word out!

Update #1: Patient 13 Kick-off event
We launched the first full day of our Kickstarter campaign last night at the Patient 13 Art Auction and Fundraiser hosted at Hoag Hospital’s Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center. Thanks to our generous sponsors, guest celebrity artists, dedicated volunteers and fantastic guests, we received pledges meeting nearly 1/3rd of our $30,000 goal.
Ana and Sam (as featured in the video on this Kickstarter page) were in attendance as well as Scott King, Dr. Jonathan Lakey, and many others involved with the film. Avanti Café provided delicious hors d'oeuvres including Organic frittata canapés and Chocolate Banana Mini Cupcakes. Guests enjoyed the art of Zoey Stevens, Shepard Fairey, Greg Craola Simkins, and Anthony Ausgang.
We thank everyone involved for making this such a memorable event and thank you for your support. Below are some pictures of the event - lets make this film together!
Many Thanks,
Lisa & Guy
