A Second Knock at the Door: A Documentary on Friendly Fire
“A Second Knock at the Door” is currently in post-production. “A Second Knock at the Door” offers a rare glimpse into the sacrifice and courage of military families dealing with the terrible reality of friendly fire and struggling with their belief that the Army attempted to seemingly bury the incidents within the “fog of war.” Because of the generous support of our Angel Investors, we have travelled across the country interviewing the Families of the Fallen, former Officers at the US Army War College, Scholars, such as Dr. Andrew Bacevich at Boston University and Dr. Scoot Snook at Harvard Business School, and members of the Press, including Barton Gellman, Contributing Editor-at-large for Time magazine. Unwilling to allow these soldiers to be defined by their death, this documentary will thoroughly explore these men outside of the uniform through the eyes of their community where they were known simply as a son, husband, father, fiancé, and friend.
“A Second Knock at the Door” is 5414 Productions' first feature-length project. Our Angel Investors and the dedication and hard work from the whole 5414 team have brought us to this point. We are coming to you today in the hopes that you will help us get to the finish line. We are passionate about this project and invite you to join us in our efforts to complete this important project. The funding we hope to raise on Kickstarter will go exclusively for the following expenses: • Professional Studio for Voice-Over • Professional Sound Mixing • Licensing Archival Footage • Film Festival Submissions
For your support we have some wonderful rewards, including tickets to a preview screening of the documentary and concert by Canadian recording artist Beth Moore at the historic Portage Theater in Chicago (www.portagetheater.com).
