Update #5: Recording Update Feb 21, 2012
Between the holidays, the NAMM show in LA and a worship conference in Nashville, the production schedule started slow, but I'm glad to report that things are moving along now. Here is a video with some "behind-the-scenes" footage of just some of the action (gotta save some stuff for the DVD - haha!) Stay tuned for more frequent updates as we make good progress on the record!

Update #2: Almost there!
I am so thankful for each of you who have pledged support. I just finished (about an hour ago) a record with my friends Jimmy Fedd and Randy Phillips for their church, Promiseland West, and am eager to start the hymns recording project. Thank you for sharing in the excitement of this project. And in case anyone might be wondering (based on several conversations I've had), the $8k goal is the minimum needed (to cover musicians, production expenses, artwork, photos, and CD duplication) to make this possible...any money we raise over that amount will help greatly! :)

JR Taylor is an active musician, songwriter, and engineer/producer. He has played guitar with award-winning singer/songwriter Geoff Moore and has written music and recorded with Todd Sucherman & Ricky Phillips of Styx. His song, "Restore Us," co-written with Jerry Wise from their TaylorWise project was featured on Worship Leader magazine's SongDISCovery. He also has engineering credits with such artists as Styx, Allan Holdsworth, and many others. JR led the music & worship ministry at a large church in Austin, TX for six years and continues to serve at various churches both locally and abroad.
It's going to be an amazing album. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to having the album to play on my stereo, worshipping in my living room ;)
