About this project

I'm making two (2) EPs to be packaged together (on one CD). One is a follow up to last year's Notes From the Parade recorded by the same producer (Paul Reeves). One is a country/ bluesy collection of songs tracked with a full band at Tree Sound Studios (produced by Joel Seibel/ engineered by David Bailey).

I won a major songwriting competition and with it free CD duplication and some free studio time (thank you Eddie's Attic, Video Copy Services and Tree Sound Studios). To give you an idea of how much recording costs, Notes From The Parade (my previous 6 song EP) was approx $10,000 including design, recording and printing. But, because of these prizes (and the charity of my friends), I can do double the songs for half the money.

But here's more good news!
I have enough money to pay for the project on my own. I don't need your support! By September, there should be a packaged, double EP, mastered and pretty and ready for the market place with or without your help. BUT...what I think would be a lot of fun, is to make a super limited edition run of hand pressed, hand stamped, made with love EPs, printed separately and include a poster with original artwork and blurbs and thank yous and such just for my friends in Atlanta (or those within driving distance). There would be 50 copies each, and each donor would get both EPs (unless we raise more money, then I might press 100 each).
And- this might be the kicker, throw a huge party at my home in East Atlanta in celebration. There would be kegs of beer and wine and music, and fun to be had by all. This would happen, most likely, the first Saturday in September.

Give as much as your heart desires, but I'm limiting the $20 reward to the first 150 people who give (I don't know if my house can hold much more than that). Rest assured that there will be lots of great live music from Atlanta and party favors and tasty food and good company.

Connected as Tyler Lyle (2023 friends)

Georgia musician living in Los Angeles. I'm the son of a songwriter (and mobile home salesman) and grew up in small town Georgia. Swore I'd never be a musician. I graduated from college with a degree in Philosophy and moved to Paris. When I wound up back in Atlanta, I recorded an album that was (unbeknownst to me), my decision to be a starving artist. I've worked with Dixie Chicks and 70's songwriter icons. I've played in church rec buildings and billionaires vineyards. I think the interesting stuff has just started. I don't think you're supposed to write your own bio, but it felt weird writing in third person and, well, anyway, I'm just some dude. Thanks.
