Awe inspirering rehearsal.
Dearest backers, I can’t thank you enough for helping this project go forward. We met our goal in 5 days but will keep working to raise more money and build a good audience. Please spread the word. I wanted to update you on that and also tell you about the rehearsal tonight. I just sat in on the soloists rehearsing the Beethoven for the first time. It was just awe inspiring. Ayke and Amos have never player together but it sounded as if they have known each other for years. Yukiko and Ayke go way back to their Heifetz master class days and also have a recording together. The solo cello part in the Beethoven Triple Concerto is particularly difficult – actually it is devilishly hard. Amos makes it sound so easy – he is just incredible. The three of them together are magic. I will keep you updated every couple of days as we approach the concert next week.
