WE MUST lubricate the gears of the PIG DEATH MACHINE cuz it is hungry for your MEAT!
Production on PIG DEATH MACHINE has been completed and it is time to get on with POST-PRODUCTION.
We shot in New Mexico for 11 days (August 2010) and the movie is now officially wrapped! Footage is brilliant, lensed by digi-king TODD VEROW (who also shot MOD FUCK EXPLOSION and TERMINAL USA)! Crucial lead thesping by AMY DAVIS, HANNAH LEVBARG of the band Venus Bogardus, VICTOR OF AQUITAINE, TUCKER BENNETT, as well as plenty of fresh actor talent.
This is a PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR SCREWBALL COMEDY where DAVIS plays a poor, dumb brunette who transmogrifies into something she has always wanted to be.
We received production donations from local restaurants, coffee houses, markets, hair salons, hotels, greenhouses (!!!), stores, not to mention major support from GARSON STUDIOS, WAREHOUSE21 (our 501c3 non-profit sponsor) + all the crew and actors who worked for no pay!
So here's the scoop on what we need the $ for:
-NEW COMPUTER EDITING SYSTEM: we're limping by on imovie (mach1), OSX10.3 and 2005 browsers. APATHY PRODUCTIONS doesn't need anything fancy, just functional (ie: final cut express rocks in our book!)
-SOUNDTRACK, DIGITAL EFFECTS, TAPE MASTERING: as much as we can do on desktop, we still have to rely a little on the professionals (ie: studios, post-production houses, specialists, technicians, people with more equipment than us) to create a finished movie.
-PROMO: after the movie is completed, we will be sending out massive amounts of DVD's, printed material, and hype. Why? To get the movie SEEN! We will start with the film festival circuit, then segue into a theatrical release, DVD, and internet distribution.

We have a 501c3 fiscal non-profit sponsor.
We are COMPLETELY confident that the $5000 goal we set will be sufficient funding to complete this movie and blast it into the soft-temple of culture.
